Visit the beautiful city of Salisbury. Home to an abundance of historic buildings, be sure to take in the majestic cathedral, which boasts Britain’s tallest spire standing at a breathtaking 123 metres.
The city retains much of its medieval centre, with a delightful market square and traditional shopping streets that are easy to explore on foot.
Today why not relax in Bournemouth or join our optional excursion to visit the Isle of Purbeck and Swanage.
We will pass through quaint Corfe Castle to reach seaside Swanage. Here there’s a lovely, sandy beach and lots of attractions, such as the Swanage Museum which tells the story of the area from the Jurassic period to WWII. Up to the early 19th century, Swanage was a small fishing port, however the arrival of the railway meant it developed as a seaside resort, and it retains much of its Victorian elegance today.
