Christmas in Maastricht and Valkenburg
Experience a Dutch Christmas and join us on a Christmas break by coach to Maastricht. From our base, we offer excursions to Monschau, Liege, Maastricht and Valkenburg. We spend Christmas Eve in Valkenburg, where you can wander the pretty streets and visit the Christmas Market to get you in the festive spirit. On Christmas Day, enjoy a delicious turkey lunch, and enjoy some free time in our hotel and host town of Maastricht. Finally, we spend Boxing Day enjoying an excursion to Monschau to wander the pretty cobbled streets, before visiting Liege which will still be full of festive spirit.

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then travel to our overnight hotel in Belgium.
We head to the pretty Belgian town of Hasselt. The Christmas Market may still be running (subject to confirmation of dates) to create that special festive atmosphere and maybe pick up souvenirs. We continue into Holland and to our hotel, where we stay for four nights.

We make the short journey to Valkenburg today. Experience the festive excitement of the Christmas market in the Town Cave (Gemeentegrot); the oldest and largest underground Christmas market in Europe. The ancient galleries are filled with Christmas music and decorated with lights and traditional stalls selling all kinds of festive gifts creating a truly magical atmosphere.

Merry Christmas! Relax in the surroundings of your hotel this morning before our Christmas Lunch. This afternoon enjoy a stroll around your host town of Maastricht before dinner and entertainment this evening.

We start today with a trip through the Eifel hills to Monschau, a beautiful town with picturesque half timbered houses and buildings. After time for a stroll around we continue to Liège in Belgium where the Christmas Market will still be in full swing and where you can enjoy the festive atmosphere.
