Hotel rooms were up to standard and staff mainly were polite and helpful. I did request a room change on arrival as I felt the allocated room was rather dark. I was told no other rooms were available, but on all three nights even with entertainment on the Saturday there were very few guests about. Meal times were chaotic due to lack of staff I presume. Breakfasts were particularly disappointing( no fried eggs being served, only scrambled, told it was Coast and Country company policy. Other food items in the self serve breakfast continually running out and not being replaced. Other meals food was either cold or overcooked My friends and us are regular users of this and associate hotels.

Really good apart from Friday morning breakfast which was like a cattle market but maybe not all hotels fault

Overall, enjoyed the holiday. Food not quite up to standard you would expect. Staff very friendly and helpful although there only appeared to be one youg man looking after everyone at breakfast (which he did admirably)

The Highland Hotel is a hidden treasure in a beautiful setting, the staff are excellent and there is good entertainment. However, the food was very poor,I can't fault the quantity which was generous but unfortunately the chef badly needs replacing, in truth as a traveller who has been with shearing for 25 years plus it was the worse,.Regardless of that we had a wonderful time.
