The countryside was amazing and I found the people so friendly. Our hotel though needed some TLC but it did provide for everything that it said. Glad I had not forgotten anything from home as there was a lack of places to shop. A very relaxing break in all and I could go again.

A great trip. Coach a bit cramped. Hotel great and trips out excellent. Some confusion over the return changeover at Rugby.

Really good holiday although the picture showed Hadrian's Wall stretching into the distance & I expected to walk a little of it, instead we only saw a few yards of it - so disappointing !

Had a great holiday, the hotel was good, excellent meals and lovely helpful staff. The excursions I enjoyed as I had wanted to go to Bamburgh Castle to see 'The Last Kingdom' exhibition, also visited Durham Catherdral, Warkworth Castle, Chesters Roman Fort, Hexton Abbey with the Saxon Crypt and Hexham Goal. Brunton Turret was a short walk from the hotel, which was in beautiful surroundings. The coach driver Chris, was very friendly and helpful, arranging a tour guide for us in Durham, making the day more interesting.

Travel very well organised as usual. Hotel and food good, staff brilliant. Trips interesting but could be better organised.

Excellent tour by Shearings. This trip enabled me to visit Northumberland, including Bamburgh Castle, Durham City, and Hadrians Wall, which I have always wanted to experience. The coach journey was well organised, with efficient transfers and we stayed in a lovely Hotel near to Hexham. This tour enabled me to see this part of the UK, and I would highly recommend this fascinating experience. Thank you !
