Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then we will board the ferry to the Isle of Wight and continue on to Sandown for four nights.
Discover the ‘Diamond Isle’ on a scenic tour of the island with a local guide. We travel along the south coast of the island, passing Freshwater Bay to reach Yarmouth – a bustling town with a natural harbour. Your local guide will offer insight into this fascinating island history. You will also view the famous "Needles"
Enjoy a day at leisure in Sandown, which is sheltered on a beautiful bay with long stretches of golden beaches, a traditional seafront and a wonderful pier.
Alternatively, why not join our optional excursion to Cowes. Around the world, Cowes is the town people think of when the Isle of Wight is mentioned. Known as a global home of sailing and is steeped in maritime history. Stroll along the High Street, Parade and Esplanade for wonderful views of the bustling harbour and across The Solent. Find out about the boating history of Cowes by visiting Cowes Maritime Museum in the middle of the town, while the Sir Max Aitken Museum provides another fascinating glimpse into the town’s story. Cowes is a haven for foodies, with numerous quality pubs, restaurants and cafes mingled in with shops.
Opulent, flamboyant and undoubtedly impressive, a trip to Osborne House is not to be missed.
Explore the state rooms, the intimate rooms of the Royal Family, and the walled garden with its exotic plants. Queen Victoria made this place her family home with Prince Albert and their nine children, and once wrote that it is 'impossible to imagine a prettier spot'. This palatial house reflects the Royal couple's passions, tastes and styles with ornate furnishings, artefacts from the Royal Collection and gifts from across the British Empire.
The beautiful grounds complement the Italianate palace and are filled with breathtaking views that lead down to Queen Victoria's Beach where she regularly bathed and taught her children to swim.
Return home.
You will stay for four nights at the 2-star Burlington Hotel or 3-star Broadway Park in Sandown
