It wasn't great value in my opinion. I paid £484 for three nights (£161 a night) plus £18 to park there. We were given the crappiest room ever on the top floor which was very dated with chips cracks and holes everywhere. The set dinner menu was that bad we gave it up after one night as the food was awful. Obviously the better food was available if you were willing to pay for it. Breakfast was good. It's obvious to me that booking through yourselves in the future is not cost effective to us an had we booked direct we would have got a better room for our money plus not have to experience that god awful set dinner menu

While this hotel is a little jaded in places we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was large and comfortable. Maybe a chest of drawers would have been nice but not essential as we were not living here. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, plenty of choice and always hot and well presented. The only downside is the one small lift for a hotel this size but I appreciate given the age of the building that it may not be possible to do anything about this. We were able to use the stairs even though we were on the 3rd floor but not everyone visiting this hotel might be able to do this. Would certainly go again.
