Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Llandudno for four nights.
Excursion into Snowdonia National Park, enjoying the wonderful scenery and joining the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Trains depart from Llanberis station and cross two viaducts, travelling past majestic waterfalls, through amazing rock-littered landscapes, and onto the summit. Please note, Clogwyn Station, which is 3/4 of way to the summit is as high as the trains can go in early spring when ice and snow prevents trains from reaching the summit.
We also call at Caernarfon. Home to the Wales' most famous castle, the town's maze of narrow streets and the stylish redeveloped waterfront are a delight to explore.
Relax in Llandudno and explore this popular seaside town at leisure. Enjoy a stroll along the level seafront, wander along the grand Victorian pier or perhaps take the tramway or chair lift to the summit of the Great Orme and enjoy the beautiful views.
Alternatively, join our optional excursion to Anglesey, as we cross the Menai Strait and call at Llanfair PG, the village with the longest name in the country.
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in sterling (cash payments only).
A real holiday highlight is in store today. Dreamy arrays of colourful blooms and intriguing architecture make the stunning Italiante village of Portmeirion a magical day out.
Situated on its own private peninsula, overlooking spectacular coastal scenery, enjoy a stroll around the formal gardens within the surrounding wilderness of exotic plants and pretty woodlands. Portmeirion was created by Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis from 1925 to 1976 to show how a naturally beautiful site could be redeveloped without spoiling it and Portmeirion is now one of Wales' top attractions.
Return home.

Hotel was nice down stairs, but bedrooms need updating. Day trips was good. Coach driver Will was great, very funny and helpful.

Excellent work by Shearing’s staff. Rather shambolic first night dinner at hotel + diminishing ingredients for breakfast. Unable to get to summit of Snowdon. Obvs. not due to Shearings but not what was promised.

I enjoyed this holiday, North Wales is full of wonderful roads & scenery, the excursions were good, as was Llandudno & the base hotel. I would always look for holidays using Shearings wide range of holidays, many thanks!

Overall the holiday was good, the driver Chris made it a pleasant experience and the meals were good. Unfortunately there was a lot of waiting at interchanges. Poor quality of the rooms in the hotel and an out of order lift spoiled the experience. We booked on the premise of a lift being available in the hotel due to mobility issues for my husband and we were on the 3rd floor so the lift being out of action was a big issue. Very disappointed.

The chosen excursions were fantastic and our driver Chris went out of his way to make sure our coach trips were great. The food, staff and entertainment at our hotel was good but on the downside our hotel room located on the lower ground floor was the worst I've been in for years with no ventilation in the bathroom.

Fantastic holiday, Brilliant caring driver Chris, Hotel from Hell, the County. Ruined what was ideally a perfect holiday. Definitely NOT upto Shearings standards.
