Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then on to St Mawes for a four-night stay.
Enjoy an excursion to Padstow, a delightful village with a quaint fishing harbour. Here, working fishing boats bob alongside pleasure boats and there are plenty of opportunities to take a cruise. If you would rather stay on dry land, why not find a bench to watch life go by and or enjoy one of the many eateries such as Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant.
Relax with a day at leisure in pretty St Mawes. Once a small fishing village and now one of Cornwall's most exclusive resorts, you could visit the castle, enjoy a coastal walk or even take the boat over to popular Falmouth.
Or, perhaps you'd prefer to join our optional excursion to Mevagissey where the narrow, winding streets lead down to the centre of the village and picture-postcard harbour. Named after two Irish saints, the village dates back to 1313, and during the 1800s the town thrived due to the abundant sources of fish. You'll find plenty of seafood restaurants here!
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in sterling (cash payments only).
Visit the historic town to Truro, Cornwall’s county town. Dominated by the magnificent three-spired cathedral, revel in the elegant Georgian architecture, take a pleasant stroll along the river or browse the charming shops.
Later in the day, we call at Healeys Cyder Farm, where we enjoy a delicious, traditional cream tea.
Return home.
You will stay for four nights at the 3-star Ship and Castle Hotel in St Mawes.

Hotel's best attribute was its position. Cream tea experience not to be advised but not due to any fault of Shearings. Driver affable but told us nothing about the county or places to visit. Not one of our better Shearings' trips.

This was my first coach trip and I really enjoyed it - the coach driver was very good, the hotel was basic but fine and so was the food. The coach broke down before collecting us in Bradford and it would have been nice to have some communication as we could have gone for a coffee but all on all it was a great trip - thank you

Complicated journey. Poor choice of motorway services for breaks but appreciate this is to fit in with driver's compulsory breaks. Hotel dark and drab rooms and corridors. Plumbing good and dining room good with many tables for two which we enjoyed. My husband and I love St Mawes and as it is too far for us to drive and public transport is difficult a coach holiday is our preferred option. We also appreciate the lack of affordable hotel accommodation in the area and therefore understand the difficulties you encounter in arranging this holiday. Also would prefer a trip to Port Isaac rather than to Heartlands which was rather disappointing. However St Mawes is a beautiful spot and would still choose this holiday despite my comments above

Updating hotel on our visit so room freshly painted and modern. Bathroom very small with the smallest sink possible with a centre tap so to wash face your face was very difficult. Very friendly manager and staff "hello" and a smile. Meals Nice but only 2 serving in the dining room and hotel was full. A tiny slice of lemon in the table water would have given a nice touch. Room cleaned properly every day. Did not go on day trips as journey to Cornwall was long so didn't want to go on coach again until return journey.
