Book NowLocal departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Warwickshire. You will have some free time in Stratford-upon-Avon this afternoon before we arrive at our hotel for three nights. We enjoy tea and coffee with a mince pie on arrival to get into the festive spirit.
Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 300 years of history. Situated in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, it is one of England's largest houses and is a stunning example of architecture.
Arguably, it is most famous as the birthplace and home of Sir Winston Churchill, England's Prime Minister between 1940-45 and 1951-55. There are exhibitions here dedicated to one of our greatest leaders and the work he did during the war.
The palace comes alive during the festive season, with beautiful Christmas-themed decorations; and a Christmas market in The Great Court, where you can stock up on festive treats.
Please note: the after dark light trail is not included, as our visit to Blenheim Palace is during the day.The largest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany or Austria, Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market offers a large range of traditional good, gifts and tempting food and drink options. Enjoy everything from pretzels and schnitzels to bratwursts and roasted almonds, and wash your chosen treat down with Glühwein, Weissbier, or a tasty hot chocolate!
